Man, British humour rocks.
Mike came over and we watched 28 Days Later. I'd seen it at the cinema when it came out.. it still made me feel nervous :S
After that he wanted to watch the Eurovision Song Contest.. which i loathe.. but Terry Wogan was commontating over the top of the annoying Foreign peoples! Now HE was funny. After all the shitty songs were over (except Austria's entry, which was hilarious.. i liked that one.) the two presenter people were like "now, i bet you want a recap" and Terry just sniggered and said "no, we want to take you outside and shoot you."
We were in hysterics. And because George is rather ill, it hurts him to laugh.. so he makes a really high-pitched giggle instead! So George was laughing at the comment, we were laughing and the comment and George laughing and George laughed at us laughing at him, and- you get the picture...
Tatu, the Russian entry, sucked so much. They couldn't sing in tune. Yet they came third.. and i was SO glad that we lost completely because the "song" that was entered for Britain was SHIT. I mean, really SHIT. It deserved nil points. It really did. I mean, for one thing they couldn't sing and for another, it was really pathetic. The only remotely decent song was by Estonia, and that didn't get the points it deserved. Turkey shouldn't have won and the singer looked like Drucilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Muh.
Anyway.
After that was over and everyone who took part was lined up against a wall and subjected to silver bullets, Mike left and Have I Got News For You came on. I love that show. It was better when Angus Deaton was on it, but he was a bad bad man and therefore got fired. hehe..
I have The Monster Mash in my head. It's so funny. The Misfit's version is so easily the best.. i have that on my media player..
Actually, in Have I Got News For You, they mentioned that a form of punishment soon to be banned for prisoners from Iraq is tormenting them with childrens songs and heavy metal. Now the thing is, that my entire playlist is comprised of childrens songs and heavy metal.. i do hope i don't get a swarm of soldiers deleting mp3's from my hard drive! eep!
God, i need to listen to some decent music before i get crappy love songs in my head for the rest of eternity....
