Hello, it's a bit late i know, but
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
I hope everybody had a wonderful time :)
My christmas was ok. for the past 4/5 days i've been rather ill. Cold-type thing. Typical of me to get ill over christmas, but ill is exactly what i got, so exactly what i am! Monday was when i started. I had been shopping with my mum in town. Bad idea. She always ends up moaning about something. On Monday evening Paul called me up and asked if i wanted to go out for a bit. Me, being me, said "Yeah sure sounds great!" I was looking forward to it, seeing all my friends who are back for christmas! (Welcome home to: Steven, Paul and Andrew!). However, the pub we went to was VERY smoky that night. And my throat got worse and worse. When i woke up on tuesday i couldn't swallow. I couldn't breathe and my eyes were streaming because it hurt so much. Lovely. So after a tuesday of pain (in which, i stayed in bed), came a wednesday of tissues AND pain, but muchly reduced. When i met up with Val, Barry and Simon to play santa and deliver presents for my friends (except Steven's, because i don't know where he lives, and Paul's for the same reason- he moved), i thought "holy shit i've got an awesome immune system! Go team White Blood Cells!!" But apparently not because thursday/yesterday/Christmas was a combined effort of every single teensy bit of bacteria in my body to swell and grow into a hideous cold monster and make me feel like shit.
Don't get me wrong, i could just about taste.. and there was at least a 4 minute gap between tissues.. and my throat wasn't plaguing me much aside from the persistant coughing, and the dizziness usually stopped if i had a lay down every 10 minutes or so... so i had a pretty reasonable Christmas! heh.. heh... oh dear. I hope your's was better than mine...
Today, friday, i've been attacked by the monster to such and extent that i cannot smell, and i cannot taste, and when i brushed my teeth, not only could i not taste the cool minty freshness, i couldn't tell if the water was hot or cold. And after running my hand under it to check if it was cold and finding it was VERY cold, i started to worry somewhat. What is up with this cold monster dude. Can he not piss off and leave me alone? It was nice of him to come and visit me, but i think now he's overstaying his welcome.
On the present front i did rather well! My friends are wonderful and i love them. And i promise that when i have more money i shall buy everyone lovely birthday presents! :) Chris got me a Lava Lamp! He let me choose it so i got a really nice coloured one! Yellow goo with blue water.. it shines lime green in the middle and yellow at the top and bottom.. it's so pretty!! Don't even THINK about stealing it Mr. Snuggly!! I'm watching you!! He also got me a yellow candle, which smells of heaven! Or.. WOULD smell, if i could smell it. Oooo.. that's like the tree falling in the wood thing! "If you have been attacked by the cold monster dude, and no one else is around, does the yellow candle have a scent?" Hehehe... It's called "Desert Marigolds" and i love it muchly!! He also got me a stone necklace.. Goldstone it is.. i don't know if you've ever seen Goldstone, but it's the most shiney thing in the world!! I'll try and find a picture, hang on.. ok this is the best image i could find! It sparkles so much.. :) Ooo, and here's another image.. oo glittery..
My mum got me a rug in the shape of a daisy! It is light purple and has a swirl of dark purple in the middle! And Val's family got me Pirates of the Caribbean on DVD! So i shall be watching that in my ill state.. And Val got me earrings with guitars on them, multi-coloured gloves and a knit-your-own winney the pooh! That should keep me going for.. uh.. 10 years? hehe
Matt got me a beautiful watch.. i might be able to find a picture hang on! Here you go! And a DVD's, one with the oldest pirate film ever, Treasure island, on it! And the other with load's of programs from my childhood! Including Rainbow, Duckula, Dangermouse and Button Moon!! I can't wait to watch it!
Barry and Simon got me a hairstraightener! I'll try it out when i'm a bit better.. don't want to burn my head in my dizzy state!
Anywho, i'm feeling a bit icky-yukky.. so i'd better be off.. i'll list the rest later, thank-you to everybody!! Especially those who signed my guestbook :)
