Heya!

Today was pretty cool =) My dad woke me up bright an early (not so much of the cool..) and we went into town because the New Wolsey Theatre was having an open day and he quite fancied wondering around. We got down there to find it pretty full, so while dad asked about what there was to do, i spotted my friend Kris behind the desk looking bored stiff. We had to book to do the best things so we went over to the desk and i said hi to Kris and he sorted us out some places. We went to see a condensed version of one of the plays they are showing at the moment, it had examples of what the interview would have been like and how they rehursed and stuff.. the set was just amazing, full of trees! I've never seen real trees in a studio like that before! It just looked so well done, and the actors were really good.. The basic jist of the play was that there were 4 buisness men stuck on an island.. i don't know anything more than that, but i really want to see the whole play! The bits they showed were hilarious. My kind of humour.

So anyway, after a spot of lunch, getting a new watch battery, receiving a phone call from Laura and more talking to Kris we went on a tour behind the scenes to see where the actors prepared and how the lighting/sounds were done. It was really interesting, and i found out a lot of stuff! We saw the models of the sets for the panto's and the play i mentioned above.. in something like 1:25 scale! It was very impressive. The whole place had a really fresh and nervous feeling about it.. i can't imagine what it must be like on the night of a play.. i suppose the best thing to do would be to just have a good time.. if you're enjoying yourself then it's going to reflect on the audience.. i can't wait until september.

Did i mention september? I don't think i did.. i'm apply to college. I want to do a performing arts national diploma. Then maybe take it to an HND (higher national diploma)... then maybe a BA(hons) and then i'll have my spiffy degree.. in the mean time i'll be looking for acting roles.. and if i can't seem to find any, then i'll do a post grad teaching course and become a drama teacher.. but i'd keep looking for acting jobs. I'm sure something will come up! Anyway, i can't wait to set the ball in motion.. it's going to be great. The theory is that now i actually WANT to do the course, i'll actually do it well. Unfortunately, i'll be 25 by the time i get my degree. I feel so old.

I'm only 19, but in a few months i'll be 20 and it scares me. I don't feel that i've done half of the things that i wanted to do before i hit the big two-oh. But better late than never... right???

Anyway, after all this had finished, i asked Kris if he was doing anything after work, and he gave me his new number and told me to call him after 9pm ish.. Then me and my dad went off to The Guitar Shop in search of a spiftastic yellow guitar for little leisha.. no such luck. That shop sucks at the moment.. they closed for "refurbishment" and seem to have lost two whole floors. Muh. Anyway, no guitar for me.

So then dad dropped me off at Myk's, where George and a couple of his mates (Tom and Dave) were all having a guitar/drums session.. it was pretty cool... literally.. that house is sooo cold!! Then Tom and Dave left and me George and Myk watched Rat Race... fucking funny.

So yeah, the phone call i got from laura in town basically told me that steven was back for the weekend and that we should do something and that someone (me) should organise something... so when i got home i phoned around and a bunch of us (Me, Val, Liam, Chris, Steven, Phil, Laura and Kris) all went to the Heathlands for a game or three of pool and a friendly chat. It was really good fun, even though laura and val left slightly early.. the rest of us drove around for a bit after the pub closed then Kris was kind enough to give me a lift home =)

All in all, a sucessful saturday! Tomorrow will not be as fun.. i have to tidy my room, which includes cleaning out the cats... not a nice task i can assure you.. but it's ok, i'm going to try and order that guitar i've wanted for ages.. i need it.

Anyway, getting late! TTFN!
