Heidi-ho..
Thank-you Bethy and Mr. Snuggly for wishing me a spiffy birthday... (Snuggly got sent an e-mail a while ago.. did he get it??) it wasn't that bad i suppose.. weather was dreadful, but meh, it's England. I'm really lucky actually, i got a lot of cool things.. sure i didn't really need them, but the fact that they're cool makes up for their not so neededness! hehehe..
The first present i got was from Sarah, my new friend! She works in town and i had to walk past her in the mall every day on my way to/from work, so i decided one day to say hello. She's lovely, and i'm always going in to see her now.. but a few days before my birthday i was walking past so i stopped to say hi and she handed me a present! I so wasn't expecting it and am very grateful! My mum took it from me when i got in... but i opened it first thing on Saturday! And it's beautiful, it's a bag with flowers and leaves made of beads all sewn on.. => and there was a beaded purse as well, and a braclet of amethyst and flourite.. thank-you so much, Sarah!!
Matt came to stay with me from Friday until today which was lovely =) i had been bugging him to tell me what he'd bought me and he must have got fed up with me asking because he told me that he'd got me a turnip. So i told him that i'd be really upset if he was lying to me... so when i opened the round shape he handed me i should really have expected it. A turnip. My god, if Baldrick could see me now. My very own turnip. Of course, it was slightly squishy because he'd bought it on tuesday haha! And it smells absolutely foul! But it's still my turnip and i love it dearly. I have names it Pinrut, and it has been the center of conversations ever since it entered my house!
Of course, Matt told me that he couldn't just get me a turnip so he handed me a box.. and inside the box was an mp3 player. He must have spent SO much on me.. it's fucking 40GB!!! Twice the size of my laptop harddrive!! It says "NOMAD JUKEBOX - Zen Xtra" in spiffy writing above the screen.. it's a Creative Labs whatsamacallit and i can't believe it's mine!!
I asked the parentals for Shoes and books, and shoes and books is what i got! As well as a lime green case for my camera, a shoulder bag in the fuzzy shape of Feathers McGraw from Wallace and Gromit! Hell yeah! And two tops (very pretty, shall have to take pictures) a guitar lead (bright pink!) a shiny photo frame and i'm sure there was other stuff but i can't remember hehehe... So i was really happy! I love my shoes... they're so cool... and my books! yay for David Eddings! *bows down to the genius*.
I went into town in the hope of finding something to spend my birthday money on..luckily i didn't! Money has a habit of falling out of cards at me! I got £55 this year and i'm really grateful for it because of my lack of job etc! I'm determined to save it! So next time i'm in town, it's all going into the bank. Yup. Bank. Heh. Yeah.
I met up with Sarah and her boyfriend Daniel in town and they came back to mine for a bit, i invited other peoples over for about 7-8 ish.. We (Me, Matt, Sarah and Daniel) went up to my room and messed around on my guitar for a bit and then set about munching on pizza.. mmmm pizza.. then people started to arrive.. Chris was the first.. then Liam and his girlfriend Elisa and then Val and Simon (apparently Barry couldn't be bothered to move... fair enough!) then Laura and Andrew.. and i got handed more stuff to open! They'd all clubbed together and got me a Slayer box set! It's so unbelievably met-al! Like, 4 CD's a live DVD and other cool stuff! YEAH! Loads of music to put on my Nomad! Woot!! Laura got me more David Eddings (YAY!!) And, of course, Val being Val got me tons of other stuff too... i love my friends... => She got me a DVD that i'd wanted for ages and loads of other cool things.. for example a keyring that says MAD in really big letters with a little cow attached to it... can't think WHAT she means... hehehehe.. and a spider shaped bookmark (i'll need it with all my new books!) Urgh, i just had a lovely day and i didn't feel old and i wasn't depressed and everyone just made me feel so special. Thank-you guys =)
So yeah, now i'm 20.. and.. i guess.. it's not so bad after all.
