It's SNOWING!!!!!!
I love the snow, it's great! It makes things all fluffy and white! It also makes the air really crisp and clear =)
Ryan started his new job today. He was supposed to be there at 6am, but it had been snowing all night and his bike just wasn't up to the conditions. Way too slippery for him to get up to any sort of speed and his rear wheel kept spinning on the ice... so i woke up this morning at about 7 to find him giving me a hug. I hadn't been expecting this, but i gave him the phone so he could explain to his boss why he couldn't get there... [man, it's quite a blizzard out there!!!] then he crawled into bed and gave me a cuddle until 8(ish) when i had to get ready for college. It was really nice knowing that it was snowy outside and that i was all snuggled up with my huggly person..
i had a little snow fight with Ryan this morning! made me late it did! He DID have his bike helmet on though so it wasn't really fair..... well it was my fault really.. he was getting on his bike to try and de-snow it so he could go to work... so i grabbed some snow... and.. i.. threw.. it..... but still! he didn't need to take it so far as to lift up my top and throw it at my exposed midriff! You see the thing with snow is that it's cold! And the thing with having it throw at your belly is that it's cold!! So i had a chilly walk to college..
I was 30mins late when i arrived but i didn't get into trouble because the traffic was terrible. It was backed up as far as i could see on the way there, apparently three lorries had been in an accident on the Orwell bridge (the main route out of Ipswich/the road to London) so traffic was diverted through town.. (or something along those lines) some of my classmates had been stuck on buses for 2 hours! Ridiculous. We had about 15mins worth of lesson then were told to go home because the teachers for the afternoon weren't going to be in due to the traffic/weather conditions. I had a doctors appointment because i'd had a blood test to check out why i'm so tired/drained all the time so i went to get the results.... and the survey says... i'm anaemic. woo. I have to eat cereals and wholemeal bread (hmm) take iron tablets (grrrg) and eat lots of juicy red meat (YUK!) especially liver.. (EEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!!). I'm not at all happy. Honestly, when these illnesses invent themselves surely there should be a NICE cure. I don't WANT to eat meat! I don't!!!! But i DO want to feel less tired.... so i suppose i have no choice..... =( i'll see how i feel after these tablets and cereals and stuff... eep..
After getting tablets from Superdrug in town i wandered home.. The pavement was snow-free on one side and covered in sludge on the other... i decided to walk on the sludgy side for comic value. I like the way it compacts and crunches under my boots. I DON'T like the way it slops up my jeans though.. i had to take them off at the same time as my boots.. thank-god my mum was upstairs haha..
After i'd changed and said hi she told me that Ryan had phoned and had asked me to call back. I thought this a bit strange since he'd gone off to work when the roads had cleared up but i phoned him anyway. He was in a van with Chris doing deliveries (Chris is his housemate and work colleague) and they were in Ipswich and wanted to know if i wanted company for a bit! So i put the kettle on and ten minutes later i was in the kitchen chatting to them! It was really nice after a cold walk home with bad news to be surrounded by friendly faces.
Willow is sat at the window and keeps trying to pounce at the snowflakes as they drift past. She's so funny; i love her. I introduced her to this years snow a while ago! She looked around and her little head was darting to watch all the flakes fall around her. I wish i was a kitty. Everything's so new and exciting and big! Imagine a surface nearly 50X the size of your little kitty self? That'd be my bed. Oh well.. i suppose being roughly humanoid has it's good points.. such as iron tablets.. eurgh..
